Proprietary Material Blend

Octane Strings and Cables are made with 22 strands of a proprietary blend of BCY 452 GX, featuring Gore® Performance Fibers.

Machine Precision

Each individual string is precisely wound and digitally verified to within ten thousandths of an inch (.010”) in length allowing the combination of strings and cable to work as a balanced synchronized system on your bow.

Calibrated Twist

Octane uses a proprietary twisting method that consistently puts the same amount of twist across the entire length of the string. This consistency prevents strand separation, magnifies tensile strength and is pivotal in eliminating peep rotation.

Consistent Diameter

The proprietary serving material is applied under 400 pounds of string tension, then relaxed to provide superior construction that prevents serving separation and ensures a consistent diameter from loop to loop.

Hand Served End Loops

By applying our end loop servings by hand with the highest quality 2X material available, Octane Strings and Cables provide maximum durability and safety, while minimizing serving separation.

Pre-Stretched

To eliminate creep and help increase accuracy, all Octane Strings and Cables are pre-stretched under 450 pounds of pressure for 3 times longer than required. This process ensures a consistent anchor point, draw length and bow timing.

BackBone 2-year Warranty

All BackBone strings sold through an Authorized Octane dealer come with a non-transferable 2-year warranty. This warranty protects against failures of the product due to defects in material or workmanship and does not include damage due to abuse, misuse or modification. The following exclusions apply: Serving separation due to moving of nock and/or D Loop Fuzzing Cutting of string not associated with wear (such as peep installation and/or broadheads) The original purchaser must present the original sales receipt along with the defective string at the time of the warranty claim. Warranty Service Our goal with all warranty returns is to have the string shipped out the door and on its way back to your dealer within 72 hours of receiving the original string at our facilities in Eugene, Oregon. You are our greatest asset, and we will give you the highest quality and most efficient service possible. All products requiring warranty service must be returned to an Authorized Dealer for inspection and diagnosis of any problem. Your Octane dealer can determine whether factory service is required, or if the service needed can be performed at the dealer's facility. In the event that a string must be returned for replacement, a Return Authorization (RA) number must first be obtained by your dealer. Strings returned to the factory without an RA number will not be accepted. The string owner is responsible for the return prepaid freight to Octane. No COD shipments will be accepted. Octane will perform the warranty service required and return the product to the dealer prepaid. - All methods of shipping by UPS or FED-EX only. Sender should insure all shipments. - Octane reserves the right to substitute any parts required for warranty coverage at its sole discretion and for any reason.
